Computers and internet hotspots are now available to loan and take home for short periods of time.
11.6” touch screen 2 in 1 Windows computers and 4G internet hotspots are available for loan.
If you are in Year 7-12 and have a current school ICT agreement you can borrow a computer or internet hotspot.
You can borrow a computer or internet hotspot from the library, the same way you would borrow a book. There are a limited number of computers and hotspots available, if all computers and hotspots have been loaned, please put your name on the waitlist.
You can borrow a computer or internet hotspot to research a topic of interest, complete a homework assignment or write a resume. You must take care of the equipment and return it in the same condition as you borrowed it.
The computer is managed by the Department for Education, Children and Young People the same as any other school computer. All internet access is logged and could be made available if requested by your principal. Internet hotspot access is filtered. Please contact your school if you are not able to access content you believe you should, or are able to access content you believe is inappropriate.
You can borrow a computer or internet hotspot for up to four weeks at a time. You may request a renewal at the end of this period.
If you damage the equipment, please let the librarian know as soon as possible. You will not be asked to pay for the damage. You will not be allowed to borrow another computer for two terms if you do not return the computer or internet hotspot. Devices which are reported as lost or stolen will be remotely located and managed by Information Technology Services.
The Department will pay for the cost of the internet data.
When you return the equipment, we will send a survey to your school email account. Your feedback will help us understand how you use the equipment and how we could support you better.
Talk to a teacher or a staff member at school. If they can’t fix the issue for you, they will log a request with IT Services.
